Libby Blackstead is back in to help us. She would be a great contact
for those who have any questions about The Tuscany or about Las Vegas.

Cher Carey-Chu is on the reunion committee and also lives in Las Vegas
so she will be another good source for local Las Vegas information.

it is for medical purposes. All rooms have a dining area. The Tuscany
has graciously waived the early check in fee and the fees for additional

beds or one king. Some of the king bed rooms do have queen sleeper
sofas, if you need one, please be sure you request that type of room

for these rooms must be done directly through our contact, PJ Rose.

The location:
The Tuscany Suites & Casino is located just off Las Vegas Blvd
on Flamingo Road. It is about a 5 minute drive to the Strip or a nice
15 min walk with your friends. It is very easy to get to and from
the airport, a lot less hassle than driving the Strip. There are many
great restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. A very popular,
and a bit pricey, Japanese restaurant, Hamada's, is right across the
street. At a later date, Libby will put together a map of the area
showing you a lay of the land.
Hotel Features:
The Tuscany Suites are set up very much like a condo development which
makes it very cozy and almost like our own private housing area. The
pool area has 2 key coded entrances, one of which is right next to
the Hospitality Suite. There are lots of grass areas both inside and
outside of the pool area. The Tuscany is going to try their best to
get everyone booked in the buildings that are close to the Hospitality
Suite. Needless to say, the sooner you book your room, the better.
We are so excited about this hotel because it will create an atmosphere
of really bringing everyone together to visit rather than be all spread
out in a big resort or wandering the Strip. If you are driving in,
bring your beach towels and chairs!
For all you gym rats, there is a very nice gym building with a lap
pool and jacuzzi. The equipment is very nice and the pool is a nice
touch. Coming to the reunion will not give you an excuse to miss your
work out...BUMMER!
If any of you are making this a road trip, the hotel has a coin operated
laundry area. Or, maybe you are one of those folks that packs light
to avoid the baggage carousel at the airport, good news, pack as light
as you want! We promise we won't make comments about seeing the same
outfit day after day.
Hotel Layout:
The resort is kind of split into 2 areas with the buildings with the
rooms separate.
The check in area has a nice Italian restaurant, Tuscany Gardens,
next to it as well as the Piazza Lounge. We will be using the lounge,
along with the Hospitality Suite, as a gathering place. There is a
nice outdoor patio area off the lounge and the pool is next to it
as well. The Hospitality Suite is at the end of the lounge patio area.
From check in, there is a hallway that leads to the casino. Along
the way is a small coffee shop which also has a door next to the pool
area. The casino area has 2 restaurants, Marilyn's Cafe and The Cantina
as well as several small bars. The ballrooms are upstairs from the
casino area. Yes, there is MEGABUCKS! Upon check in you will be given
coupons that can be used at several of the locations. Not too bad
eh????
For those of you making the drive, there is ample parking by all of
the buildings. No need to walk a mile from your car to your door or
hassle with trying to find a parking spot in an overcrowded parking
garage.
The Hospitality Suite will be in building G, Suite 105. Only folks
booked in building G will be able to knock on the actual door. Access
to the room will be from the sliding glass door which faces the pool.
Don't worry, there will be signs posted so you can't miss it. Only
those Warriors staying in the two bedroom suites will be booked into
building G so please don't request that building when booking your
room.
