The Yamato Warriors after enjoying several years in the winners bracket fell into another dismal season. Injuries, ineligibilities and the lack of returning lettermen were the major factors. Some of the better part of playing resulted in a win over the Mustangs of ASIJ, holding the YoHi Red Devils to the least amount of points scored and also a one TD loss to the powerful Chofu Vikings. As of regular season play the Warriors finished sixth in the league standings. The record of one win, five losses don't show the improvement to be expected of next year's team. Yamato put up a fight in a major part of their games, but were outclassed by other larger schools in the KPSSAA League.
