The Yamato Warriors started the season fast, winning four of their first six games, but then our lack of height began to show. Our hustle and good shooting alone could not win it for us. The Warriors were also plagued with illnesses and poor officiating the last seven games, but we are proud of them. All of them can look forward to a promising future, especially the two freshmen of the team, Ken Mack and Billy Dew. We also salute our seniors Morgan Baity, Scott Richardson and Charlie Reasner, and wish them the best of luck to come. Yea Warriors of 1972.
The Far East Tournament was held at Yokota with teams from every corner of the Far East. In our first two games, we led early, but couldn't hold off strong rallies, and lost two heartbreakers. In our third game, we blew the Guam Geckos off the court in the third quarter and held off a late rally to win. The Christian Academy in Japan (CAJ) won the tournament for the third straight year.
